Battle Creek Park Clean Up is Coming April 20

Sue Moyer (pictured here) is back to planning this year's event w/the County.

Bring your family and friends to the 20th Annual Battle Creek Regional Earth Day Clean Up on Saturday, April 20 from 9 to 11:30 a.m.
Each year over 300 volunteer gather to remove trash from the 874 acres of parkland. There are 12 volunteer check-in points. Some areas need more volunteers than others, so it is helpful to check in with the event manager in advance to receive a site assignment. This event takes place rain or shine. It is only canceled if there is lighting the day of the event or a tornado warning. Other important things to note:
·         Trash collection bags are provided
·         Please wear long pants, work shoes or boots and bring your own work gloves

To register to participate and be assigned a location to volunteer, please call the event manager, Sue Moyer at (651) 739-8027 (home) or email spek1930@aol.com. Groups of 10 or more need to register by Monday, April 15.

(This is a County event... there are City park clean ups planned for April 13...)
