Result of Board Elections

visit us at our SunRay office!!
Thanks to all the neighbors who stopped by our open houses to speak with officials and with our board members about the future of the district. Our planning intern is in the process of compiling comments that we received about our commercial areas and we will be developing some concepts for development to present to the public during the remainder of his time with us. We hope to have a public gathering in May for that input.

Our elections for board officers and members was also completed at these open houses. We had one candidate drop out (upon the advice of the Mayor, apparently...), so we still have 3 open seats that can be filled over the course of the coming year, should interested people apply to our office. But here are the results of the election:

Our new President - Erika Martin of the Conway neighborhood (our Acting Pres and former VP)
Our new Vice President - Sandy Rosbacka of the Eastveiw neighborhood
Both of these women are serving out the final year of two-year terms and will be up for re-election next March.

Our new Secretary - Tom Mohr of the Highwood neighborhood
Our new Treasurer - Gordon Westerberg of the Battle Creek neighborhood
Newly elected board members - Paul Sawyer (Highwood), Christopher Melendez (Eastview) and Timothy Turner (Conway).
These five members are elected for two-year terms. Our April board meeting will be a board orientation and strategic discussion for the organization. The April meeting is a business meeting and will not be open to the public.

We want to thank out-going Secretary, Phil Fuehrer; and Treasurer, Stacey Van Patten for their service as officers. Happily, they both remain as vital board members, continuing to serve the community.

We bid a fond farewell and send our thanks to Martin Danielson (member since 2004 and Treasurer from 2004-2009), Collins Dibaki (member since 2009 - and member of the Army Reserves
), and Michael Casey (member since 2010) for their service on the board.
